Chris Milback, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Elected to Help Lead State Medical Society

Chris Milback, MD, MBA, FAAFP, a board-certified family medicine specialist and Chief Medical Officer at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, was elected to Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) Board of Directors during the 158th annual meeting of the MSMS House of Delegates held in Dearborn on April 23rd.

A graduate of SUNY Upstate Medical University, Doctor Milback will serve a three-year term as a Designated Director to the MSMS board, representing the interests of physicians employed by health systems throughout the state. The MSMS Board sets policies and oversees operations for the medical society headquartered in East Lansing.

Before his appointment as CMO at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Doctor Milback served as Medical Director of the Colleague Health Plan & Population Health for Trinity Health in Livonia, Michigan. He has also previously held leadership positions with Health Plus of Michigan and Beaumont Health.

In addition to his role with MSMS, Doctor Milback is a board member of the Oakland County Medical Association and the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. The Michigan State Medical Society is the statewide professional association operating as the voice of all physicians in Michigan and is affiliated with the American Medical Association. Physician policies on various issues involving public health, health care delivery and medical ethics are set at the annual MSMS House of Delegates meeting.
