After being in existence for 45 years, Michigan’s auto no-fault law was overhauled by the enactment of major changes to the law in May 2019.  This program will explore the impact of coverage and reimbursement changes on the health and welfare of individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents, as well as the health care infrastructure responsible for their care.  At the conclusion of this program, participants will understand:

  • The major changes made to Michigan’s auto no-fault system.
  • Coverage options for Michigan’s motorists and the degree to which those options pay for care.
  • The fee schedule imposed by the law and its impact on care delivery.
  • The status of legal challenges to law and current legislative activity.
