MSMS would like to congratulate and extend its gratitude to Jim Richard, MD, for his 15 years of dedicated service as our representative on the Michigan Hospital Association (MHA) Keystone Center Board of Directors. Doctor Richard is a Past-President of the Michigan Society of Pathologists, as well as an emeritus member of both MSMS and the Ingham County Medical Society.
The MHA Keystone Center, founded in 2003, is the Quality/Safety division of MHA, focused on identifying and implementing practices that improve healthcare safety and quality while reducing costs. The Keystone Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization governed by a board of directors.
Doctor Richard’s retirement leaves a void but presents an opportunity for MSMS to recommend a new representative.
The board meets four times annually (thrice virtually) and once in-person for a two-day annual retreat. An ideal candidate would be a physician who is clinically active and has a strong interest and experience in the safety/quality arena.
If you are interested in applying for an appointment to the Keystone Center Board of Directors, please send an inquiry along with your CV to Tom George, MD, MSMS CEO, at tgeorge@msms.org.
