Blue Cross Continues to Pay Claims During Union Work Stoppage

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) recently issued a statement assuring physicians and hospitals that health care claims will continue to be processed despite the current work stoppage with their UAW-represented workforce. As BCBSM works to reach a labor agreement, your staff members should continue to submit claims as normal. However, Provider Inquiry telephone lines may have longer than normal  wait times.

BCBSM contact information is listed below. Michigan State Medical Society members who are experiencing difficulties may also contact Stacie Saylor, CPC, CPB, MSMS Reimbursement Advocate at ssaylor@msms.org or 517-336-5622.
